Almost 1000 children delegates will attend the IV Congress of the Pioneers Organization Jose Marti (OPJM) in session at the Convention Palace from Saturday, October 7 through 9.

Hotel Royal Hideaway Cayo Ensenachos, located on the north coast of central Cuba, was a hit at the the International Tourism Fair in the Russian capital.

Owned by Cuban hotel group Gaviota, the facility is managed by the Spanish firm Occidental Hotels which presents it as the second resort of the type Royal Hideaway in the world.

Venezuela Deputy Foreign Minister Jorge Valera called on the industrialized countries to establish a just commerce with the Third World and appealed for more effective South-South cooperation.

Valera, heading Venezuela’s mission to the Group of 15 -the 17 developing countries meeting parallel to the 14th NAM Summit in Havana-, termed the Summit an opportunity to help unlock the WTO Doha Round.

Cuban doctors in Indonesia gave the tetanus vaccine to nearly 10,000 residents of Klaten, one of the localities most damaged by the earthquake that pounded the small Asian country in May.

The Cuban medical brigade gave assistance to about 90,000 low income people in the Indonesian Islands until August 20, Cuban Granma daily reported on Tuesday.

Uruguay”s Emergency Plan (PANES) Coordinator, Bertha Sanseverino, announced that the country will introduce Cuba”s Literacy Plan, currently applied in many parts of the world.

Just as Venezuela is supporting us in the productive field, Cuba is giving us assistance in the fields of health and education,” Sanseverino commented, as quoted by El Observador daily.
