Displays from over 40 countries open this Monday the 24th International Fair (FIHAV 2006) in Expocuba, Cuba”s largest display facility.

Near 11,000 sq. meter display exceeds by 2,000 sq. meters the previous edition with 750 foreign firms covering all 25 display halls.

Cuban Chamber of Commerce (CCC) will exhibit this isle products, at least in six important foreign fairs in 2007, some of them planned in Colombia, Canada and China.

CCC Fair Leader Luis Gutierrez, indicated to Prensa Latina that Cuba will be present in Agroexpo, in Colombia, Canada 28th International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery , and the one in Shanghai, in the giant Asian Continent.

Advances in relations and commitments to broaden trade and cooperation seal Guatemalan Vice President Eduardo Stein s official visit to Cuba, which is concluding Saturday after four days of intensive activities.

Stein arrived on the island October 25 heading a delegation of public officials and businesspeople.

A delegation of the South African Communist Party led by its General Secretary Blade Nzimande will visit Cuba at the invitation of the islands Communist Partys Central Committee, local Granma daily publishes Saturday.

Nzimande will be accompanied by a group of general secretaries of that organization plus the leader of its Youth League.

A message from Cuban President Fidel Castro to his Bolivian counterpart Evo Morales opened the working Commissions of the “First States and Peoples Meeting for the Release of the Big Motherland” that today enters crucial items.

The message greeted the Forum that gathered academics and representatives of social movements from 14 Latin American countries, was read by journalist Pedro Martinez Pires from Radio Habana Cuba.
