Russian, Cuban Legislatures Cooperate
President of the Russian Government Mijail Fradkov highlighted Friday the importance of the cooperation between his country¢s Parliament and that of Cuba, after meeting with the island¢s legislative leader Ricardo Alarcon.
Fradkov stressed Alarcon¢s long work heading the unicameral National Assembly of Peoples¢ Power and recalled successive meetings between his Russian colleagues and their Cuban counterparts.

Cuban 5 Solidarity Grows Worldwide
The case of five Cuban anti-terrorist fighters imprisoned in the US, despite legal decisions in favor of their release, continues Friday gathering concerned people worldwide.
The Panamanian Ecumenical Committee denounced the violation of these men s human rights and urged Washington to correct the situation.

Cuban Neighborhood Group Turns 46
More than 8,327 thousands citizens are members of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) the most important grassroots organization in the country, which recently celebrated its 46th Anniversary.
The figure represents 96 percent of people over 14 years old in the island, stressed Juventud Rebelde daily news in its Friday edition, summarizing the national ceremony held in Gramma province Thursday.

UN Council Called to Task by Cuba
Cuban Ambassador to the United Nations Rodrigo Malmierca pointed out to the Security Council Thursday that it is impossible to eliminate terrorism if some forms are condemned while others are suppressed, tolerated, or justified.Venez Condemns US Double Standard
The diplomat recalled to the Council that Cuba has given detailed information to the Council´s Committee against Terrorism about terrorist acts against Cuba by individuals and organizations under the culpable protection of the US government, but there has been not a single action or evaluation or even an opening of an investigation.

Cuba, Azerbaidzhan Exempting Visas
Azerbaidzhan s Foreign Minister Elmar Maguerramm Mamediarov and his Cuban counterpart Felipe Perez Roque are due to sign Friday in this capital an inter-ministerial accord for the exemption of visas.
Mamediarov, who arrived Thursday in Havana, said they will also sign on the creation of a joint commission for bilateral cooperation.
