Cuba to Set up Youth Research Network
A network of researchers on youth affairs will be created in Havana by July to examine contributions and prospects of the sector, according to sources of the Young Communist League (UJC).
The network will be set up during the workshop “Youth in Cuba: Contributions and Prospects of Research, to be held from July 6 to 7.

International Reporters to NAM Summit
Several international journalists will attend in Cuba September 11-16 the 14th Non-Aligned Countries Movement (NAM) Summit.
Sources from the organizing commission of the meeting that will gather in this capital heads of States and Government and officials from 116 member countries told Prensa Latina the interest has stirred up international press.

Cuban Biotechnology Turns 20
The Cuban Center for Genetics Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB) will be 20 years old on July 1, with seven great achievements.
Over 500 scientists work there, and many of them are promising youths that lose track of the time, immerse in research, without regret. They enjoy it instead.

40th Anniversary of Puerto Rican Mission in Cuba
Several activities from June 29 to July 9 will be held for the 40th anniversary of the Puerto Rican Mission in Cuba, said Edwin Gonzalez, delegate of the Puerto Rican Mission in Cuba.
An important reason for the Mission, which has dedicated 40 years to spread the struggle of the Puerto Rican people and keep solidarity with Cuba, said Gonzalez in an interview to the Cuban TV Wednesday.

Lazo Meets Cuban Workers in Vietnam
Esteban Lazo, member of the Cuban Communist Partys Political Bureau, talked with a group of Cuban workers in Vietnam, in his second day of a visit to this Asian country Wednesday.
In the meeting, held at the Cuban Embassy in Hanoi, there was a representation of the 90 Cuban workers in Vietnam, with whom Cuba develops more than 100 agreements in many fields.
