Havana.- Eastern Camagüey province has become an excellent venue for commercial transactions at the 2006 Business Meeting.

During the annual event, 12 letters of intent and a similar number of agreements were signed, totaling 2.5 million convertible pesos.

The third edition of the Business Meeting was attended by 50 companies from the provinces of Camagüey, Holguín, Las Tunas, Ciego de Avila and Villa Clara, in addition to Local Industries from the City of Havana.

At these kinds of meetings, experts said, the companies have an excellent opportunity to identify potential business, thus consolidating their position in the market.

Among the products that stood out because of their high quality were Ferrical and Nutrivim, produced by LABIOFAM, lobsters commercialized by EPISUR, and dairy products from EMPLAC.

The Advertising Award was granted to the companies Geominera, Empresa Provincial Alimentaria Camagüey and the brewery Tínima. A special mention was granted to Servicios Especializados de Protección (SEPSA).
